Snorkeling spot at Raja Ampat


WAYAG Peak –a cluster of small coral islands visible from the top of one small coralisland in the island Wayag, District of West Waigeo, Raja Ampat, West Papua. One of the Raja Ampat tourist icons can be reached by using a speed boat for 5-6 hours from the town of Sorong


Sky blue with navy blue gradation blends beautifully with the activity of children playingon the edge of the sea after the school. A scene which wont’ be easily forgotten for anyone visiting the small islands at Raja Ampat Islands, West Papua.

Sea is the main source of their livelihood. No wonder almost all local people are able to make traditional boat used as inter-island transportation, or to fishing.There are abundance of fish and richness of marine life make this island is preservedas a marine conservation area by the government and various international conservation organizations.

Located in the northern Bird's Head of Papua, these islands can be reached by ferry for about 3 hours from the city of Sorong, WestPapua.

Dozens of diving and snorkeling spot and a small group of volcanic rocks on the island of Wayag make this area has enormous tourism potential to be managed bythe government
